There are many ways for Alumni to assist Washington and Lee. Alumni across the country and in the United Kingdom volunteer through their chapter or class, through contacts with corporations or foundations, and assisting with admissions interviews and event hosting.
Our alumni cover the globe, but there's never been a better time to stay connected. Join the conversation and stay informed.
There are 77 alumni chapters in the U.S. and one in London. They are a great way to build personal and professional networks by discovering the paths of your fellow alumni. Active participation in your local chapter will result in new relationships and opportunities. And of course, W&L people know how to have fun! Our Alumni Chapters are organized by zip codes. Most alumni are automatically assigned to a chapter based on their home address. If you are not already receiving communications about chapter events, please access Colonnade Connections and update your contact information.
Read More »Chapters are named after metro and geographic areas, entire states, and larger regions that combine multiple states. After you’ve located the chapter nearest you, contact the Chapter President or Alumni Affairs Office to see how you can get involved.
